EMPOWER FITNESS
Build muscle and lose fat in a way that actually lasts. One-on-one training and real nutrition coaching from Emily Gann, CPT, CNC. No cookie-cutter plans, no wasted reps, and a coach who holds the line with you.
Every client starts with an assessment: movement, history, goals, schedule, and what you actually eat. The program follows from there.
Private coaching built on an assessment of how you actually move. Every set is programmed, loaded, and progressed on purpose.
A plan built around your real schedule and real food, adjusted weekly against your data, not a printout you abandon by Thursday.
For women who want to lift heavy and know why. Not just barbells and dumbbells: machines, cables, and a full range of movements, until the whole weight room feels like yours. Plenty of clients start out intimidated by the equipment. Emily makes sure you know you belong there.
Core and pelvic-floor-aware programming through pregnancy and a structured return to lifting after. Patient, specific, not fragile.
A low back that won’t let up, a knee that never forgave you, a shoulder that flinches overhead. We build around it, then build it back. Just finished physical therapy? Emily bridges the gap back to your full routine, moving correctly and without fear of reinjury.
The four days a week you're not with Emily decide the outcome. Check-ins, targets, and someone who notices when you go quiet.
Most trainers hand you a macro spreadsheet and wish you luck. Emily is a certified nutrition coach, so nutrition gets coached, not printed. You get a plan built on what you already eat, adjusted every week against real data: weight trend, energy, sleep, lifts, and how your clothes fit.
“If you are not eating for your goals, you will not be successful. Lose body fat, gain muscle, maintain. You have to put the work in in the kitchen.”
Emily founded Empower Fitness Training & Nutrition to give Greensboro something it was short on: a coach who takes both halves of the job seriously. She’s a certified personal trainer, a certified nutrition coach, and a mind & body wellness specialist, and she treats those as one job, not three services.
Her clients are professionals with 30 to 45 minutes and no patience for guesswork, women returning to the gym after years away, new mothers rebuilding a core, athletes chasing a number, and people in their sixties who intend to carry their own groceries at eighty.
Different goals. Same standard.
Send the form or DM her on Instagram. She gets back to you personally, usually the same day.
Thirty minutes, no cost, no pressure. Your history, your goals, and what's realistically in front of you. You leave with a plan either way.
Movement screen, baselines, and a nutrition intake. Your program is written from that, and then the work begins.

No. Roughly half of Emily's clients start after a long gap. Session one is an assessment, not a workout you have to survive. The program starts where you actually are and progresses from there.
Emily is a certified nutrition coach, not a trainer forwarding you a template. You get a plan built from what you already eat and your real schedule, then adjusted weekly against actual data, not a 1,200-calorie guess.
Yes. Emily has specific training for pregnancy and postpartum, including core and pelvic-floor considerations, return-to-lifting timelines, and coordination with your provider's clearance.
